Château Dauzac

Château Dauzac is a wine estate in the Bordeaux region. Located in Labarde near the Gironde estuary, the Château is a 5th Classified Growth in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification. The Château produces 5 great red wines including the grand vin "Château Dauzac" and the second wine "Labastide De Dauzac". The vineyard covers an area of 49 hectares in one piece and the grape varieties are 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot and only 2% Petit Verdot.

The red wines are of very good quality. Château Dauzac expresses itself best between 5 and 10 years, aging up to 15 and 20 years. The vintages to favour are 1995, 1996, the 1998 vintage as well as 2000. We also recommend the Château Dauzac 2001.
