1959 Vintage wine

The 1959 vintage is the first excellent vintage since the terrible frost of 1956

In the Bordeaux region, the quality is very good and more particularly on Graves, Saint-Julien, Saint-Estèphe, Margaux, Pauillac. The Château Lafite Rothschild 1959, for example, is remarkable with an explosive bouquet, firm and corpulent, with an incredible length. In Sauternes, the Château Yquem 1959 is excellent, it is this year that the Château d‘Yquem launches its dry wine Y d‘Yquem which proves to be a success.

In Burgundy, the 1959 vintage enters the legend of mythical vintages. The concentrated and inflated grapes offer us high quality wines, rich, generous with fruity aromas and sun-drenched. In Champagne, Rhône Valley and other regions of France, quality will also be there. Although this 1959 vintage is full of successes, we particularly notice the Château Lafite Rothschild, Haut Brion, Vieux Château Certan, Montrose, Climens, Yquem and the appellations Chambertin, Musigny, Richebourg and Rhone Hermitage.
