Tasted with the 1990 Pichon Longueville, this wine is an excellent representative of Right Bank Bordeaux, from a mature vintage. Generous in fruit, it displays a strong touch of iron and blood, typical of the region. Without excessive extraction, oak, or sweetness, it seems to have been made before the winemaking excesses of the following decade. Very balanced and (just) fresh, it becomes slightly mellow in the glass. Drink now!

Château Troplong-Mondot produces great wines in the Saint-Emilion AOC. It is classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé B in the Saint Emilion classification. The vineyard covers 33 hectares of vines. The grape varieties at Château Troplong-Mondot consist of 90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, and yields do not exceed 50 hl/ha. The vines have an average age of 35 years.

With great aging potential, the wines are distinguished by their concentration and complexity. Since 1985, Château Troplong Mondot has been producing a second wine called: Mondot.
