Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Fully mature, the wine lacks the depth and richness found in the best years. Instead, you find a liquorice, earth and smoke filled wine with dark plums, round textures and black, cocoa dusted cherries in the finish.

Dark, intense and beautiful colour. Intense, fruity, creamy, fresh and fine nose. Meticulous on the entry, flavourful on the development, particularly fruity, the wine glides on a medium body and a flavour that I cannot determine, except that the length remains medium. A little less good than last year.

Decanted for a couple of hours which gave a different profile from the bottle tasted a few years ago. Bright nose, rich and elegant. Palate is medium+, smooth tannins, rich and long. There is enough freshness to give a very good balance to the wine.

Fine, sweet cassis fruit on the nose, with lots of coffee and plummy nuances. Rich, ripe and concentrated palate with great length.

Jancis Robinson October - 2022

From a great right-bank year, this is a burly, imposing wine with weight, plush, ripe dark fruit but all kept in check by lovely acidity and a leafy, herbal edge. The initial hit on the palate is upfront and showy – the mid palate lacks some concentration compared with some later wines. Impressive.
