Gilbert & Gaillard November - 2008
Gilbert & Gaillard
Orange colour with coppery reflections. Intense, complex nose, ripe raspberry, blackberry, dried fig, stone fruits, spices. Ample and vinous attack, superb freshness, great aromatic length. A still young vintage with a long career ahead of it.

Cellar Tracker June - 2024

On the nose for the first 30 minutes, I smelled strawberry jam, raspberry compote, hint of whipped cream, dark honey, vanilla, cooked hawthorn fruit, apricot and caramelised apple. Tertiary notes such as copper and brown sugar stepped in as the serving temperature climbed. In terms of palate, this wine offers a very vibrant, precise and balanced acidity. On the nose after 60 minutes of bottle breathing, the aroma of matured red fruit continued and further enriched by oolong tea and spices, including cloves, black peppercorn, a hint of candied orange peel. The aroma of the 80% of blanc de blanc also surfaced and offering notes such as sea breeze, wet stones, roasted hazelnuts, yeast and brioche.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
The 1996 Brut Dom Ruinart Rosé is a dense, shut-down wine that needs serious time in the cellar to come together. With additional bottle age, the Pinot character should emerge, as it almost always does. For now, this remains a structured Rosé that only occasionally reveals the brilliance that it appears capable of, yet all of the ingredients are present for the 1996 to emerge as a brilliant Dom Ruinart Rosé. Accordingly, my score represents the wine's potential at maturity rather than where it is today.

Falstaff November - 2011
Falstaff
Pale pink with copper notes, very fine perlage. Inviting fruit notes, a hint of biscuit and honey lies behind a delicate red cherry fruit. On the palate complex, silky texture, delicate berry fruit, lemony nuances, lingers long, mineral finish, appears immensely youthful, possesses great balance and finesse, raspberry confit on the aftertaste.

Wine Enthusiast January - 2010

Pale pink in colour, this is stylish rosé. It has the intense acidity of the 1996 vintage, meaning that it still tastes young, crisp, vibrant. The only suggestion that this is 14 years old is in the slight toastiness. But it should go on for many more years.

Wine Spectator November - 2009

Rich and meaty, offering clove and berry flavours and a firm, chalky structure. Seems a bit rigid and closed now, but it's certainly concentrated and long. Best from 2011 through 2030.

Revista de Vinhos : Extraordinary in aroma, the pure finesse of Pinot Noir, a very delicate mousse and in the mouth it reveals strength and great structure but wrapped in a filigree elegance. A work of art, at a corresponding price.

Ruinart
Champagne Ruinart is a Champagne House founded on September 1, 1729, in Reims by Nicolas Ruinart, the nephew of Benedictine monk Dom Thierry Ruinart. It is one of the oldest Champagne houses still in operation, after the Gosset house, founded in 1584. Champagne Ruinart is a prestigious champagne house that originated the "RUINART taste", characterised by finesse, elegance and distinction. Champagne Ruinart: A House that, through the centuries and its successors, has always prioritised the cultivation of excellence, conveyed by the fundamental values of authenticity, openness, refinement and quality... This pursuit of perfection is notably illustrated through the dominance of Chardonnay, which is used in the composition of the entire Ruinart range and the prestigious Dom Ruinart cuvées, like a golden thread that magnifies the champagnes. Chardonnay illuminates all these cuvées, enhancing their brilliance, giving them that particular fluidity that makes them recognisable among all others. All these characteristics perpetuate over time the culture and art of living of Ruinart, which today positions itself as an aesthete of champagne throughout the world.
