Mas Cal Demoura
Mas Cal Demoura

Mas Cal Demoura is one of the benchmark estates of the AOP Terrasses du Larzac, the flagship appellation of the Languedoc located some thirty kilometres north-west of Montpellier. The estate was founded in the early 1990s by Jean-Pierre Jullien, father of Olivier Jullien, founder of the neighbouring Mas Jullien, on this high-altitude terroir that he knows intimately.

In 2003, Isabelle and Vincent Goumard, two former executives converted by their passion for wine, took over the property. Over twenty years, their methodical work and commitment to biodynamic viticulture (Biodyvin certification since 2015) have elevated Mas Cal Demoura to the ranks of the great estates of the Languedoc. Sixteen hectares, twelve grape varieties, naturally low yields of between 15 and 25 hectolitres per hectare: everything is designed to draw the best from each plot.

The wines of Mas Cal Demoura are recognisable by their style: fruity, fresh, and elegant, with tannins of a finesse rare for a southern vineyard. A signature built vintage after vintage, which today makes the estate an essential reference for any lover of Languedoc wines. The vintages 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 are among the finest expressions of the estate.
