Dark red colour. Still blue. More sustained and younger than the 83. Slight evolution. Brilliant. Clean and intense nose. Fine and quite complex. Finely liquorice-like. Needs to open up. On swirling, clean and intense. Very ripe fruit with a note of tobacco and cedar. Clean, broad, melted and fruity attack. Development on a full, sappy structure, with a fine and silky tactile contact. Slow evolution on complex flavours of ripe fruit and wood, towards a flavourful, soft, distinguished finish. Long persistence. Clean and nuanced flavours. Very good. Difficult not to swallow this complete, tender wine, without flabbiness, and without excessive fruit maturation. Nuance and style.

Château Malescot Saint Exupery

Château Malescot St. Exupery is a wine estate of 45 hectares including 30 ha of vines, located in Margaux in the Gironde. In the Margaux AOC, it is classified as a third growth in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification.

The grape variety composition is: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. The harvesting is done manually and vinification lasts 4 to 6 weeks, favoring long vatting periods. The wines are aged for 16 months in new oak barrels. The wines are fined with egg whites and unfiltered.
