CHÂTEAU LA MISSION HAUT BRION Blanc 2010

Tasting notes : Pale yellow color with bright green highlights. The initial impression on the nose is a little reserved, but its formidable intensity develops with aeration. The wine has a marked mineral character on the palate, with notes of flint and graphite. It is ample and long on the palate, with a firm structure thanks to good acidity. Its aromatic aftertaste seems to linger! The Château La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc 2010 has all the characteristics of an elegant wine with excellent aging potential.

Grape variety / Blend : 81% Sémillon & 19% Sauvignon Blanc (variations are possible from one vintage to another)

Ageing : Oaked

Maturity : 2013-2053

Food and Wine Pairing : Meaty and fatty fish

Everything is great about this wine, its aromas, its freshness, its density, its exquisite harmony... and its price, which freezes this exquisite, unique, best of all dry white Bordeaux into an unattainable monument.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
It took some coaxing to bring out the reticent notes of citrus, lemon, lime, orange, white peach, flowers and honeysuckle. Rich, intense and full on the palate. The wine offers a blast of minerality and fresh, crisp, yellow citrus with a dab of honey on the palate and in the finish. If you are lucky enough to have a bottle or two in your cellar, wait a decade or so before popping a cork.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
A staggeringly rich blend of 81% Semillon and the rest Sauvignon Blanc, this full-throttle, impressively endowed wine has good acidity, with hints of candle wax, mandarin orange marmalade, caramelized melons and lemon oil. It is a stunner and should last 30-40 more years.

Green yellow color. Fine, subtle, fruity, lemony, truffled and beautiful nose! Superb oily entry in the mouth, where the wine develops aromatic, tense with a subtle nuance of lime. Juicy, complex and rich, it melts on the palate with incredible grace. It is a delight in which it is impossible to spot the aromatic traces of the grape varieties. Blend: 81% Sémillon and 19% Sauvignon. Yield 39 hl/ha; Alcohol 14°3; pH 3.11.

Château La Mission Haut Brion
Château La Mission Haut Brion

The Château La Mission Haut-Brion, is a vineyard located in Talence in Gironde. Located in AOC Pessac-Léognan, it is classified Grand Cru in the classification of wines of Graves. The estate was bought in 1983 by the Dillon family, owner of Haut Brion. It is undoubtedly this propensity to give everything at once that distinguishes the wines of La Mission Haut-Brion and seduces many tasters. It is also the exacerbated expression of the soil of Graves of Pessac. In the course of its breeding and getting older, the Mission Haut-Brion is always generous, it is committed totally permanently. The hedonistic side of the Mission Haut-Brion and the permanence of these qualities are features that make it very attractive. La Chapelle de la Mission Haut Brion is the second wine of the domain.

The greatest vintages are : 2000, 1994, 1993, 1990, 1989, 1988, 1986, 1985, 1982, 1981, 1979, 1978, 1975, 1964, 1961, 1959, 1955, 1953, 1952, 1950, 1949, 1948, 1947, 1945, 1929.
