Mid garnet. Lovely mature claret nose. Mellow, slightly savoury. Good acidity, relatively light. Some flavour here. Mellow cigar box starting to emerge with air. This has survived nicely and makes for a pleasant drink.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
Solid, firm, true in style to the 1966 vintage, Haut-Batailley has evolved slowly, and is presently at its apogee. A modest bouquet of spices and black currant fruit is quite attractive. It is medium bodied with good, rather than excellent, concentration. The finish is solid and a bit tough.

Six very good notes. Its style is as consistently elegant as neighboring Batailley's, dependably chunky and fruity. Noted "claret at its best".
