Falstaff
Intense garnet red with violet reflections and a broad, ochre-coloured rim. Notes of candied violets and liquorice over dark forest berry jam, fine herbs, a mineral note and fresh figs. Juicy, elegant, surprisingly light-footed, ripe plums, silky tannins, mineral and viscous, a hint of nougat on the finish, approachable and youthful, firm on the finish, will benefit from further bottle ageing.
