Jancis Robinson December - 2013

Lustrous ruby with orange rim. Gloriously mellow and sweet. Pure opulence. Beautifully mature. Not a trace of tannin. Some meatiness and extra depth suggested Pomerol certainly. One blind taster guessed Petrus.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
One of the most sensual, viscerally appealing wines of the vintage is the 1982 La Conseillante, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping Pomerol that wafts from the glass with aromas of minty blackberries, raspberry liqueur, black truffle, sweet soils tones and spices. Supple and expansive, with melting tannins and a long, perfumed finish, it's one of my favorite 1982 Bordeaux today.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
From a magnum, this was a thrill-a-sip wine. Silky, vibrant, earthy, floral, and packed with truffle, cigar wrapper, bitter-dark chocolate, and red plums, every sniff, swirl, and sip were gorgeous. Fully mature, if you are lucky enough to own a bottle, there is no reason to hesitate before opening it.

Château La Conseillante
Château La Conseillante

The name Conseillante appears from the middle of the eighteenth century. It was bequeathed by a influential person who ran the property 300 years ago soon: Catherine Conseillan. The Conseillante of Saint-Emilion, Pomerol on the board with a clay and gravel with iron in the dirt basement, wine comes from vines which certainly enhances Merlot (70%) but the Cabernet Franc, with 25%, gives the wines a freshness, complexity and richness special. The purple cap with his Conseillante recalls for its characteristic aroma of the raw. These elements selected in 1871 by brothers Nicolas remain an elegant modernity at the dawn of the XXI Century.
