Intense colour. Pleasant nose exuding wonderfully refined red fruit. The palate is both generous and lively and displays good length. Focused, clean aromatics. Quite successful and above all remarkably fresh.

The dense plum/purple-coloured 2010 is a strong effort for Clos Rene. Copious aromas of mocha, mulberries and black cherries emerge from this cuvee along with a sweet, fleshy mouthfeel, medium to full body and a long finish. Drink it over the next 10-15 years.

Certainly a contender for the best wine ever produced at the property. The medium bodied Pomerol is a bit stern, but you can find nice, ripe black cherries, wet earth, plum and mocha in the nose and finish. Drink this young, or age it 5 years before popping a cork.

Mint, sweet plums, blackberries, prunes. This wine has very ripe, sweet, upfront flavours. The flavours are a bit too ripe and dense and the finish is moderate. A wine that can be enjoyed fairly young.
