Tempranillo: 100%
Culture & Terroirs: Massale selection of «Tinto Fino» from one of the finest terroirs and one of the most renowned crus of the Ribeira del Duero. Clay-limestone terroir, typical of Vingrau, rich in very pure calcium carbonate, north, north-west facing.
Vinifications: Destemming, pre-fermentation maceration of around ten days. Ageing in 18-hectolitre foudres, new for the 2019 vintage, on lees, without racking.

Founded in 1997 in Vingrau by Hervé Bizeul, former Best Young Sommelier of France, the Domaine du Clos des Fées has become, within a generation, one of the leading names in Roussillon. Across a mosaic of old vines spread across seven terroirs in the Pyrénées-Orientales, it produces dense and fresh reds in AOP Côtes du Roussillon and IGP Côtes Catalanes, dominated by grenache, syrah, carignan and mourvèdre, as well as the cult micro-cuvée La Petite Sibérie, made from old grenache vines.

Among the estate's greatest years, the 2011 vintage and the 2012 established its reputation, the 2016 wine ranks among its finest, while the 2022 and 2023 carry the brilliance of recent harvests.
