(1998). Ten consistently good notes since 1974. Rich, well knit, well balanced, crisp, very attractive. Perhaps just a touch of coarseness. Harmonious nose, easy, pleasant, fully developed.

(4-1995). Charming and delicious, offering cherry, berry and cedar aromas and flavours. Medium-bodied and soft with succulent fruit.

Jean-Marc Quarin October - 1991
Jean-Marc Quarin
. Ruby red. Evolved. Satisfactory intensity but not as deep as other 70s. Clean. Medium intensity. Very fruity, but not very expressive. Subtle note of resin and flower. Chocolate and raisins. Clean. More intense. More open. More fruity. Very good. Soft and fruity attack developing on a round structure that evolves very well balanced on fatty tannins, very flavourful, quite fresh that persist for a long time on very long, frank but not very complex empyreumatic notes. Charm on a structure of medium intensity. To wait. Will prove more interesting at the table than the 71.

Château Canon

Château Canon is a 34-hectare wine estate located in Saint-Emilion in the Gironde. Classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé B in the Saint-Emilion classification, Château Canon was one of the first estates in the Bordeaux region where the vine held a primary position. Although neighbouring Ausone, the wine, despite being a 1st Grand Cru, has never reached the level that might be expected of it.

The takeover of Château Canon in 1996 by Chanel nevertheless gave new life to this wine. Indeed, significant investments, particularly in the wine cellar, have improved the quality of the wine. Château Canon is known for its meticulous three-step grape selection process and there is no doubt that the work undertaken by the estate will increasingly bear fruit.
