Château Clos de l'Oratoire is a Bordeaux wine estate located in the Saint Emilion commune. The vineyard, covering 11 hectares, is situated on the north-eastern slope of Saint-Emilion. It consists of a sandy subsoil and clay substratum. The terroir of Clos de l'Oratoire is particularly suitable for Merlot (90%), Cabernet Franc (5%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) grape varieties. Merlot gives the wine roundness and opulence. Cabernet Franc provides power, aromatic complexity and a beautiful length on the palate. Clos de l'Oratoire is a Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé.

The best vintages are 1982, 1988 and 1989. Finally, we recommend Clos de l'Oratoire 1990, 2003 and Clos de l'Oratoire 2005 which are remarkable.
