1949 Vintage wine

The great successes are e Château Calon Segur 1949, le Château Latour 1949, Château Grand Puy Lacoste 1949, Château Brane Cantenac 1949, Château Gruaud-Larose 1949, La Conseillante 1949, Lafleur 1949, Pétrus 1949. The quality of Sauternes is excellent, these wines are still very good with notably Château Filhot 1949 and Château d‘Yquem 1949.

In Burgundy the vintage is also excellent, one of the finest vintages of the century. Elegant wines, well balanced. Good care, they can still be delicious. One of the best vintages of the century for the Rhone Valley, northern and southern. Remarkable wines, rich, powerful and a perfect balance. Excellent aging potential.
