Our opinion on the 1919 vintage: an honourable vintage. The 1919 vintage marks the beginning of peacetime and benefits from an exceptionally favourable start to the season. In Bordeaux, the 1919 vintage is of good quality and the wines are flavourful, despite weather difficulties. Indeed, the humidity at the end of summer promoted the spread of vine diseases, while excessive heat in August burned the vines. For Sauternes, it's also a success, the 1919 vintage offers fine, sweet, very liquorous and sappy wines.

In Burgundy, the red wines from 1919 are excellent and still good. They are fruity and structured but with medium aging potential. As for the white wines from 1919, they are also of very good quality.
