A beautifully transparent '98 St. Emilion with nice depth of charcoal-tinged black fruits and superb delineation and cut. Light on its feet with lovely notes of charcoal minerals and the right touch of smoked chocolate with a layered and refined finish. Lovely stuff still on the upswing.

Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classe - Couvent Des Jacobins A very impressive performance for this vineyard. Couvent des Jacobins is characterized by an intense ruby color with purple reflections. The nose offers a bouquet of spices, licorice and black fruits wrapped in an earthy scent. The palate is full, concentrated with black fruits and refined tannins. A beautiful length with a still dominant, smooth and flattering oakiness. Opulent finish with black and spicy fruits. Blend: 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc
