Like many wines of this age the color are brick red. The smell is pretty green with hints of grass, cucumber, cooked green asparagus. There are also some dark berries and a little cedar. In the mouth the wine is initially a bit metallic with clear tones of blood. The wine is otherwise very good, full bodied and with intense concentration. A supple acidity, clear and well balanced tannins. The wine feels fresh and tastes much more exciting than it smells.

Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classe - Couvent Des Jacobins A very impressive performance for this vineyard. Couvent des Jacobins is characterized by an intense ruby color with purple reflections. The nose offers a bouquet of spices, licorice and black fruits wrapped in an earthy scent. The palate is full, concentrated with black fruits and refined tannins. A beautiful length with a still dominant, smooth and flattering oakiness. Opulent finish with black and spicy fruits. Blend: 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc
