Wine Enthusiast January - 2012
Wine Enthusiast
Deliciously perfumed wine, full of the ripest fruit along with smoky tannins. It revels in the bright fruit flavours that add to the pleasure. This is a wine that will develop relatively quickly, although it will age as well.

Falstaff February - 2013
Falstaff
Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate brightening at the rim, inviting dark berry compote, fine morello cherries, delicate orange zest. Juicy, very elegant and balanced, extract sweetness, freshly structured, well-integrated tannins, dark berry fruit and some nougat on the finish, adheres well, promising.

Jeannie Cho Lee March - 2010
Jeannie Cho Lee
Dark berries, hint of cedarbox. Very well balanced, accessible wine with a softness in the approach followed by firm tannins and ripe fruit. The finish is fairly long - a classy and elegant wine, which can be enjoyed young or can be cellared for at least a decade.

Jean-Marc Quarin June - 2012
Jean-Marc Quarin
Dark and intense colour. Very aromatic nose, fruity, ripe, smoky touch. Very distinguished palate, smooth, with precise texture, with taste, body and fine tannins. Very beautiful sapid and long finish. Without being powerful, the whole is very distinguished. High pleasure rating.

Château La Tour Figeac
Château La Tour Figeac was separated from Château La Tour du Pin Figeac in 1881 after both were divided from Château Figeac in 1879. Located east of Château Cheval Blanc and south of Château Figeac, Château La Tour Figeac has 14 hectares of vines on gravelly and clay-sandy soils in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. Château La Tour Figeac was purchased in 1973 from François Rapin by a German industrial family, the Rettenmaiers. Otto Maximilian Rettenmaier arrived at Château La Tour Figeac in 1994 and converted the estate to biodynamic farming in 1997. Christine Derenoncourt is the technical director of the château, while her husband Stéphane Derenoncourt acts as a consultant for vineyard management and vinification.
