Dark, intense and slightly evolved colour. Discreet nose, but endowed with ripe fruitiness. Rich on the attack, fleshy in the mid-palate and even melting, the wine perfumes and evolves increasingly powerful, on a finish with a taste of plum and violet. It is long and very good.

Tasted at “Texture” restaurant in London with Ludovic David. A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, a better showing than in Southwold. It still has that ripe, sappy nose with blackberry, cedar and more developed cigar box aromas. Sweet entry, supple and feminine with a soft but well poised finish that still lacks a little personality that one hopes will evolve with time. It does open up in the glass, so give this more time. Drink 2012-2020. Tasted February 2010.

Developing well, this rich and intense wine has all the pleasures of 2005. The tannins are a firm hint along with the sweet, smoky berry fruits and ripe acidity. It is structured, dense and elegant, a great success for this château.

Overripe nose with a lush, intense fruitiness that is almost minty. Chocolaty palate with good fruit, and a rather raw touch of oak. Drying, sandy tannins begin to grip. A bit disjointed. Hard to assess.

Château Marquis de Terme, Fourth Classified Growth, Margaux, is a wine estate located in Margaux in the Gironde region. In the Margaux AOC, it is classified as a fourth growth in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification. Château Marquis de Terme classified growth has often produced wines of great breeding, sometimes even placing them at the top of their appellation. Recent vintages have been somewhat perplexing, even if they reveal a certain consistency, with a supple character.
