Tasted decanted and blind. Dark colour, moderately intense and evolved. Fruity nose, discreet and slightly alcoholic. Tender and mellow entry on the palate. The wine develops pulpy, aromatic, with much grace in the construction. Melting in the mid-palate, it fascinates with the quality of its texture, recalling Margaux more than Saint-Julien. Unspittable on the finish, it leaves the palate more aromatic than tannic. It is beautiful and good.

Château Léoville Barton then made up for everything. Youthful Bordeaux red, a wonderfully deep, smoky nose, distinct liquorice, plus peat, dark and red berries, noble, complex. On the palate, reformed as usual yet extremely precise. Perfect maturity, taut, dense and yet very elegant, extremely straightforward and clear, sensational structure. Very good length on the finish.

Château Leoville Barton
Château Léoville Barton is a wine estate located in the heart of Saint-Julien, in the Gironde department. Benefiting from the appellation of its commune, it is classified as a Second Grand Cru in the 1855 classification. The 45-hectare Leoville Barton vineyard is planted with 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc, on a marvellous terroir renowned as the best in the world for vines, and benefiting from ideal climatological conditions. Ageing: 18 to 20 months in oak barrels, on average 60% new Due to the absence of a château on this terroir, the wine is traditionally aged in the cellars of its sister estate, Langoa-Barton, which it regularly outclasses despite identical grape varieties and vinification. Very well-balanced, this powerful and generous wine with character is considered one of the best Saint-Julien wines.
