The Jean Grivot estate is a family-owned domain located in Vosne-Romanée in Burgundy for over two centuries. At the end of the 18th century, Joseph Grivot decided to sell the vineyards he cultivated in the Jura to settle in Burgundy. His son Gaston acquired a large plot of the famous grand cru Clos Vougeot in 1919, which increased the estate's reputation. One can still admire the elaborate gateway that bars its entrance when driving along the vineyards via the national road 74. In 1984, his son Jean expanded this already well-endowed estate with the acquisition of a plot in Richebourg.

Etienne Grivot, Jean's son, took over the reins in 1987. He became the fifth generation of the Grivot estate with his children who have been working alongside him since 2010. Together they cultivate a 15-hectare vineyard in Vosne-Romanée stretching from Nuits-St-Georges to Chambolle-Musigny. The harvesting is 100% manual, and the wines are aged in oak barrels for approximately 15 to 20 months before being bottled at the estate.
