Dark red. Good intensity. Hint of evolution. Clean. Medium intensity. Nuance of caramel and fruit in syrup. Clean. Same thing with a hint of alcohol. Soft and fruity attack developing on a round structure, medium-bodied. Well-balanced tannic evolution. Rather simple mid-palate flavours. Fairly persistent and slightly austere tannic finish. Needs to wait.

Château Grand Puy Ducasse is a 40-hectare wine estate located in Pauillac, Gironde. The vineyard is spread across three plots situated on the best terroirs of Pauillac. Château Grand Puy Ducasse is classified as a Fifth Growth in the 1855 Official Classification of Bordeaux Wines.

The best wines from Château Grand Puy Ducasse are the 1945 wines and 1947, the 1949 wines, 1959 grand crus, the 1961 and 1967 vintages. The 1975 vintages, 1982 and 1985 are particularly successful. Finally, the 1995 wines, 1998 and 2000 vintages, as well as the 2009 classified growths are considered exceptional years.
