Château informations
Château Gilette is a Bordeaux wine estate. A 4.5-hectare property located in the heart of the village of Preignac. Château Gilette is a small Sauternes growth legendary for its old vintages. In the Sauternes appellation, it exclusively produces sweet white wines described as the fruitiest in the Sauternes region. The grape varieties grown there are (90%), (8%) and (2%). The harvest is done manually and the vines are approximately 40 years old.
The best vintages of Château Gilette are 1929, the 1959 vintage, the 1967 wines, 1987 growths and the 1989 vintage. Finally, the 1990 vintage is particularly excellent.
