Château Monbousquet Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion. The first traces of Château Monbousquet date back to the mid-16th century. The famous Bordeaux family de Carles, who owned the estate from 1682 to 1826, contributed greatly to the reputation of this château. Count de Vassal-Montviel also left a significant mark between 1858 and 1977 on this Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. Château Monbousquet was purchased by Gérard Perse in 1993, five years before he acquired Château Pavie. Since then, Château Monbousquet has undergone substantial work both in the vineyard and in the cellars. The method has been positive as Château Monbousquet has been flirting with the highest levels in recent years, such is the success of this wine. Château Monbousquet also produces an eponymous white wine.
