The history of Château La Tour de Mons

Château La Tour de Mons is a very old property. Originally, it was the seigniory of Soussans created in 1098 by William IX the Troubadour, Duke of Aquitaine, Count of Poitiers and Gascony.

In the 13th century, it was known as Tour de Marsac, and the estate's fortified house was reportedly built during this period by the lords of Blanquefort.

After several generations of owners, one of the most illustrious was Pierre de Mons, who acquired the estate in 1623 through marriage, gave it his name and helped enhance the quality of the vineyard. His heirs would own Château La Tour de Mons until the 20th century.

After significant modernization work, Château La Tour de Mons was sold by Crédit Agricole Grands Crus to the Perrodo family in 2020. The family already owns Château Labergorce and Château Marquis d'Alesme, Third Growth Classified.
