Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé
The Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, located in Chambolle-Musigny, is one of the major estates in the Côte-d'Or. Its wines rank among the top wines of Burgundy and the Côte de Nuits. They can only be compared with the greatest: Domaine de la Romanée Conti, Domaine Leroy, Dugat-Py, ... These are undoubtedly very great wines that fully justify the worldwide reputation they have acquired. The origins of Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé date back to 1450. The estate has since been passed down from generation to generation, thus remaining in the same family.

The Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is located in the village of Chambolle-Musigny in Burgundy. It is one of the most renowned producers in the Côte d'Or and produces wines that are still sold at high prices today.
The history of Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé
The Domaine Comte George de Vogüé is one of the oldest estates in Burgundy, its history dating back to the mid-15th century when Jean Moisson built the original building.
The name of the Vogüé family first appeared in 1766. Since then, generations of heirs have succeeded each other at the head of the estate. Count George de Vogüé inherited the estate from his father in 1925 and ran it with passion and determination for over 60 years, making it an emblem of Burgundy.
His daughter Elisabeth, Baroness de Ladoucette, now manages the property with the help of her granddaughters. She has surrounded herself with an exceptional team in order to continue offering wines of very high quality.
What are the characteristics of the wines from Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé?
The Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé cultivates 12 hectares of vines and owns 70% of the total area of Chambolle-Musigny, including the majority of Musigny Grand Cru and all of Petits Musigny.
It also owns some magnificent crus such as Chambolle-Musigny 1er cru "Les Amoureuses", Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru and Musigny blanc, the only white wine from the Côte de Nuits, of which it is the sole estate to perpetuate the tradition.
The vineyard is planted on stony soils composed of clay and limestone, and it is managed using sustainable farming methods with great respect for biodiversity.
The grape varieties are the emblematic ones of Burgundy: 100% Pinot Noir for red wines and 100% Chardonnay for white wines.
Today, the Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is known for producing legendary red and white wines, characterised by their finesse and aromatic complexity. These wines are renowned for their consistency, finesse and high ageing potential.
The red wine with the Chambolle-Musigny appellation is one of the most expensive and sought-after wines of its appellation.
