Château Siran

Château Siran is a Bordeaux wine estate. Existing since the 15th century, the estate really gained notoriety from the 17th century. Château Siran has been managed by the same family for more than 150 years. The Château produces its grand cru in the Margaux appellation and wines in the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation. The vineyard therefore has a total area of 36 hectares (of which 11 are dedicated to Bordeaux Supérieur). Produced on gravelly sandy soil, Siran wines are typical of the grand crus of the Margaux Appellation. Both powerful and refined, they always seek the perfect balance between tannins, fruit and acidity.

Château Siran generally favours finesse, femininity, and silkiness over pure power and the virility of certain Médoc wines. Château Siran is both charming in its youth and has excellent ageing potential. It will surprise wine enthusiasts with the complexity of aromas developed over time. We recommend the Château Siran 1982, Château Siran 1985 and Château Siran 2002.
