The Côte de Brouilly appellation, located in the heart of Beaujolais, extends across the slopes of Mont Brouilly and benefits from a unique terroir composed of volcanic rocks rich in diorite. Producing exclusively red wines from the gamay grape variety, it is distinguished by wines that are more structured, deep and mineral than those of the neighbouring Brouilly appellation. The wines of Côte de Brouilly offer aromas of red and black fruits, flowers and spices, combined with a lovely freshness and excellent ageing potential. Iconic estates such as Château Thivin, Domaine Lafarge-Vial and Domaine du Pavillon de Chavannes contribute to the reputation of this appellation as one of the finest in Beaujolais.
