La Revue du Vin de France January - 2022
La Revue du Vin de France
Green Guide 2022 A well-ripened palette of dark fruits and spices, with a structure that is both concentrated and graceful. One can perceive the flesh and the dimension of the vintage, though it will need a little time for the tannins to integrate. The overall impression is of a good level with fine amplitude. Peak: 2025 - 2035

Adrian van Velsen - vvWine
(Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Vaccarèse) The big brother of the Côte du Rhône adds a couple more shovelfuls of complexity on top. Alongside the typical strawberry aromas come blackberries, herbs, tea, cool smoke, carrot-ginger and floral tones — a pure poem. On the palate powerful, distinctly pressured, yet not clumsy or heavy; the pronounced tannic structure is impressive, the tannins are of the highest quality, becoming softer in the mid-palate, almost velvety, all elements in excellent harmony, the finish very, very long. Of course, the alcohol level is always perceptible in wines like these (as with Rayas), which is why it is advisable not to serve them too warm. 16°C is ideal for enjoying this enchanting Châteauneuf-du-Pape. This is Rhône elegance built for a small eternity. Drink now through 2045, 94 points

Falstaff January - 2022
Falstaff
Deep, purple-red garnet with violet reflections and a broad ochre rim. Fresh notes of candied red wild berries, strawberries and red cherries, with delicate hints of orange blossom — an inviting bouquet. Juicy, fresh, candied violets, fine tannins, finesse, a subtle note of chocolate on the finish; should age for another one to two years.

Jancis Robinson January - 2020
Jancis Robinson
Deep golden colour – distinctly honeyed note with fresh ripe pear skin. Excellent acidity on the attack, followed by a dry apple-skin, almost tannic grip. Well-balanced and interesting textural elements here. Will develop toasty honeyed notes over the coming years, I imagine.
