The colour is beautiful and still young. The undecanted wine is more intense and fruitier than the decanted one. When comparing the two, the palate appears more velvety and richer in taste and complexity when the wine is not decanted. It then finishes on simple tannins. Decanted, the wine takes on a little more presence in the middle, whilst retaining its very pleasant final note. Ultimately, these two wines are similar whether decanted or not. They present a beautiful smoky taste in the finish.

Château la Fleur De Gay
Château la Fleur de Gay, whose Cru was created in 1982 by Noël Raynaud from 3 hectares of La Croix de Gay. The plot of old Merlot vines is close to Lafleur and Petrus, at the top of the Pomerol plateau. Chantal Lebreton took over from her father Noël Raynaud, who passed away after the 1997 harvest. Supported by her mother and brother, Dr. Alain Raynaud (Château Quinault), she continues a long family tradition dating back to the 15th century... Château la Fleur de Gay ages its wine 100% in new oak. A very high-level wine typical of charming and expressive Merlots. Its natural concentration favours long ageing.
