Bordeaux

The irregular weather (orange in summer and rain at the end of the harvest) makes pleasant, tender and tasty wines. These wines were made during the war, they are elegant, light in color. They represent the year l’année 1944well.

Bourgogne

The harvest took place following the liberation of Burgundy in mid-September 1944. Despite the rain, joy resounded. The harvest is diluted and watery. Over time, the wines have evolved, they have been transformed. The color remains superficial but the spicy aromas and the body really take hold.

Champagne

After harvesting in very bad weather, the grapes produced no vintage.

Rhône

Except in the South, the quality was really not there that year.

In this millésime 1944vintage, the wines are light, short and, for the most attractive, rather spicy and tasty. It is somewhat disappointing, but still offers fine and relatively supple red wines.
