A beautiful wine, with notes of tapenade, liquorice, spice box, blackcurrants, and toasty oak, this medium-bodied wine has shed a lot of its tannin and exhibits excellent purity, a real sweetness on the attack, a bit of firmness on the back end, but impressive concentration and length.

Fully mature, with fennel, earth, smoke, black cherry, herb, wet forest floor and mocha notes, the wine is quite successful for the vintage. With soft, round textures and just a minor touch of dryness in the finish, the wine ends with red and black fruits, olive tapenade and a hint of cocoa.

Château Troplong-Mondot produces great wines in the Saint-Emilion AOC. It is classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé B in the Saint Emilion classification. The vineyard covers 33 hectares of vines. The grape varieties at Château Troplong-Mondot consist of 90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, and yields do not exceed 50 hl/ha. The vines have an average age of 35 years.
With great aging potential, the wines are distinguished by their concentration and complexity. Since 1985, Château Troplong Mondot has been producing a second wine called: Mondot.
