Allen Meadow - Burghound January - 2007
Allen Meadow - Burghound
A perfumed and airy nose of lavender, spice and distinct floral notes highlight the intense, structured and quite powerful full-bodied flavours that culminate in huge and mouth coating length. This is a big wine yet impeccably refined, pure and classy and the length is most impressive.

Domaine Georges Roumier
Domaine Georges Roumier

Domaine Roumier is an estate that produces Burgundy wines. Founded in 1924 by Georges Roumier, then taken over in the early 1980s by Christophe Roumier who had joined his father Jean Marie Roumier. Located in the commune of Chambolle Musigny, the estate spans nearly 12 hectares of vineyards.

The harvest is traditionally done by hand and the grape varieties produced are Pinot Noir for red wines and Chardonnay for white wines. Domaine Roumier is not certified organic and does not seek the label, however, they do not use any chemical products in their vineyards.

The limestone and clay-limestone soils enhance and characterize the estate's terroir. Domaine Roumier produces five Burgundy Grand Crus: Bonnes Mares, Musigny, Charmes Chambertin, Ruchottes Chambertin and Corton Charlemagne in white wine.

The star wine of Domaine Roumier is the Musigny Grand Cru. A wine with growing reputation from the Côte de Nuits.
