Gorgeous aromas of crushed berries, cinnamon and plum. Full-bodied, very silky and very seductive. Wonderful wine.--'95'96 Bordeaux retrospective.

Dark red colour. Intense. Unified. Very beautiful. Medium intensity nose. Smoky. Fruity. Very ripe. Lovely. On swirling a bit metallic. All in roundness and fat, without heaviness, the wine evolves on coated tannins and it melts in the finish on spicy and long notes. Very good. Only regret: an absence of tighter weave in the middle. More marked by Merlot.

Wonderful cork! Fill just under cork. Bouquet black fruits. Opaque almost black. Good depth sufficient length- just. Black fruits intense flavour. Surprisingly young. Needs plenty of air. Seems to have decades of life ahead. Hard to judge development but probably worth a punt if you have time in hand.

Blackish ruby. Evolved rim. Attractive evolution and tertiary aromas (unlike many of the seven 1995s and 1996s tasted alongside). Classic development and some racy, refreshing acidity. Dry finish but appetising. Tannins receding fast.
