Very nice color still young. Super thin nose and a subtle settling last-minute highlights. Its freshness and youth impress. It will evolve continually during dinner: cedar, cassis, creamy. The mouth is a model of purity and proportion. Very distinguished, sappy, it crunches, it sucks it gently in a very nice length to the noble tanicité. S swallows as whey. The last tasting gave me the impression that this wine was still in reserve. So do not rush to drink, before 2015-2020. Blessed is he who possesses magnum! In this container, I bet that the quality of this wine surprised many people!.

Margaux's 1991 is a candidate for "wine of the vintage. " It reveals a deep ruby color, and a tight but promising nose of rich cassis, licorice, and toasty new oak. Dense, medium to full-bodied, with plenty of depth, it possesses moderate tannin and a long, rich finish. A bigger, more powerful wine than Margaux's 1987, it is close in quality to the estate's 1988.

Margaux

A privilege to bear the name of its appellation, for Chateau Margaux there is no doubt ample justification. For several centuries this Premier Cru has expressed the highest degree of quality of exceptional terroir patiently assembled by several generations of owners. Maintained and harvested exclusively by hand with extreme care, the 78 hectares of vines (75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) derive their wealth deep in the soil which is clayey gravelly and particularly dense and thick. The fermentation in oak vats, after which the wine is strictly selected, follows 18 to 24 months in new oak barrels. A masterpiece among Bordeaux, the best according to some, Château Margaux reveals the delicate taste and opulence, depth and complexity, and exudes a rare elegance of rose, violet, black fruit, suspended by tight tannins that require patient aging before the wine fully expresses itself. The château also produces a second wine, Pavillon Rouge de Château Margaux, and a dry white wine, Pavillon Blanc de Château Margaux.
