From magnum. Autumnal burgundy colour. Semi transparent and slightly dusky. Nose is ‘a pointe’ gorgeous… lots of damp autumnal bracken. stewed plums, nutmeg, still fresh. Truffle comes out with time in the glass. Palate is velvety, soft moss, mulberry, red confit plum, autumn-fallen plums, touch of galangal and liquorice root. Very tertiary. This went perfectly with traditional French-style steak tartare and then prime rib from the carving trolley.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
A sweet cassis nose with black olives and good definition. The palate is quite elegant and feminine with a lush ripe Merlot character. Very fine.

Couleur rouge sombre. Bonne intensité. Unie. Belle. Vive. Nez d'intensité moyenne. Note de fraise des bois et cerise. Aromatique. Attaque douce, se développant sur une structure de corps moyen, évoluant savoureuse, à la fois sur le fruit et le bois dans la saveur. Les tanins sont bien équilibrés mais il manque un peu de chair. Bonne persistance assez longue. Ensemble plutôt raffiné.

A firm, well-made red, with pretty cherry and berry aromas. Medium in body, with finely knit tannins and a long, silky, fruity aftertaste.
