(07-2015) Very intense nose ? massive concentration. Deep blackish ruby. Lift and minerals and pzazz. Very Latour. Very grown-up. Spicy and absolutely classic.

(01-2007) To date and before the collage, I consider this wine as the best vintage of this second wine. The color is beautiful, intense, deep and the nose mixes fresh and ripe sensations, while presenting very hedonistic southern notes. Tasted next to Forts 2000 and 2003, I preferred 2005. It has the 2000 pulp at the mouth, the flesh of 2003 in the middle, the aromatic class of 2004 in the final. Powerful and yet meticulous, it finishes subtle with nuances of violet and cocoa. It is great wine today much superior to what I judged in primeur. Wait for 2010 and before 2030.

(01-2007) Shows blackberry, coffee, cedar, and raisin on the nose, turning to licorice and fresh flowers. Full-bodied, with refined, silky tannins and a long finish. Balanced and juicy. Builds on the palate, with currant, licorice and mineral character, followed by a powerful finish. An amazing second wine.

Latour is the epitome of excellence in good years and bad ones. Among the greatest vintages, the most beautiful achievements of the chateau: 1920, 1929, 1949, 1955, 1959, 1961, 1970, 1982, 1990, 2000.

Created around 1680, Château Latour's vineyard is one of the oldest in the Médoc. At the heart of the estate, the main parcel, called "l'Enclos", is made up of 47 hectares of old vines that are preciously maintained, because only they are able to give birth to the "Grand Vin". The 18 hectares of exterior plots, the vines less than 10 years old and the possibly downgraded cuvées produce the second wine of the estate, "Les Forts de Latour". The wine of Château Latour is an example of regularity regardless of the quality of the vintage. Firm, tannic and concentrated in its youth ...
