Earthy, somewhat decadent like a Burgundy, with firm stucture, smooth and f leshy texture, ripe currant, plum and vanilla woven together elegantly. Drinkable now, but it has the structure to age.

This 1983 is medium to dark ruby in color, with a rich, spicy, berry-like aroma of some intensity. This fat, concentrated, smoothly textured wine has reached maturity. It appears to be one of the best wines made at the property in over a decade.

Château informations
Château Lascombes is a wine estate located in Margaux in the Gironde department. In the Médoc AOC, it is classified as a Second Growth in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification.
The 50 hectares of Château Lascombes vineyard (55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot) benefit from deep gravel soils. Château Lascombes estate practices green harvesting every year to improve wine quality by achieving greater concentration. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, malolactic fermentation of Merlots in barrels. Ageing for 18 months in 60% new oak barrels, fined with egg whites.
