Cellar Tracker March - 2024

The first thing that struck me was the colour - Dark brooding purple, slight garnet on the rim, no signs of bricking or tiredness. Very promising. The nose lovely floral aromas followed by seductive notes of cigar, leather, dark cherry, anise and mocha. Superb vibrancy and complexity. In the mouth, very good structure - everything is still there and very much pronounced. Beautiful layers of dark fruit, silky, integrated tannins, medium body, secondary and slight tertiary notes, but really no sign of this being over the hill.

Dark colour. Clean nose, intense, smoky, woody, powerful. Clean attack, supple and smooth, developing on a straight-formed structure, fleshy, rigorous and very fruity. Slow evolution on a superb density and a tight texture that persists refined and very long on smoky and spicy notes.

Plenty of pretty wood dominates this Bordeaux, with sweet vanilla, cedar and smoky oak that overshadows the ripe fruit. With time it should be more complex.

Strong carmine garnet, broad ochre rim, orange reflections. On the nose dark berry compote, delicately ripe plums, a hint of tar, tobacco nuances. Juicy, some cassis, the tannins present and somewhat angular, red berry nuances on the finish, it lacks length, lemony aftertaste.
