(09-2005) Tasted blind and not decanted. Burgundy color. Average intensity to good. Slight evolution. Nose net, medium intensity, discreet, tar, alcohol, metal (found in the final). Very nice entry into the mouth, luscious. Medium round and fruity taste moderately ripe and followed by a tannic a little lively. From the aroma to the finish. Normal length.

(02-2011) Pretty impressive on the nose. Very intense ruby with hardly any evidence of browning. Rather light and even slightly simple on the palate. Slightly dry tannins insist on the end. Mineral finish.

This second wine of Lafite us reveals a great potential. With its beautiful spicy, tobacco, cedar and blackberries, this wine offers a full-bodied and generous, where the roundness of tannins mélent a lively and surprising freshness of the mouth in general. There remains a continuing fresh ripe plum of a good length. . Carruades de Lafite: Subtle and fruity ...
