Gilbert & Gaillard March - 2011
Gilbert & Gaillard
Deep, slightly evolved colour. Fruity nose with accents of redcurrant, morello cherry and a light spicy touch. On the palate, volume and amplitude above average. The aromas are clean and the tannins melted. The finish is expressive and persistent.

Ruby, thin brick rim. Scented, detailed, nuanced, cassis, blueberries, juicy, detailed, minerals, some tobacco notes, lovely nose, seductive. A classic! Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark and red fruits, liquorice and spices, juicy yet textured, bright, delicate yet firmer, super seductive at this stage in my book. Was given a few hours in decanter.

Barrel sample. An impressive wine with good balance, sweet fruit and a delicious strand of fresh blackberry juice. The tannins are dark, but fit well with the fruit.

Dark, intense and evolved color. Moderately aromatic nose, fruity and slightly lively. Round, juicy, flavorful palate, with medium body and length.

Already fun to drink, the wine offers blackberries, earth, smoke and coffee bean aromas, soft tannins with a slightly, oaky finish.

Tasted blind. Heady, fruity nose and a strong saltiness on the palate. Very like sucking stones!

Château Haut Marbuzet

Château Haut-Marbuzet is a 61-hectare wine estate owned by the Duboscq family, located in Saint-Estèphe. It is a Médoc AOC and is classified as an exceptional Cru Bourgeois. The work of the Duboscq family has made Château Haut-Marbuzet a wine of the highest quality among Saint-Estèphe wines. Château Haut Marbuzet is also full of charm in its youth, developing wonderful spicy notes and red fruit aromas. Considered by some as the most Burgundian of Bordeaux wines, Château Haut Marbuzet was consecrated as Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel during the revision of the Crus Bourgeois classification in June 2003.
