Beautiful and lush. The floral, vanilla and blueberry flavors are distinctive and concentrated; if the oak is dominant now, the fruit is ripe and lively.

The 1990 La Turque offers an opaque purple color, and an overwhelming perfume of jammy black cherries, cassis, toast, and minerals. With its sweet, generous, incredibly harmonious personality, it is an unforgettable wine. With sweet tannin, low acidity, and one of the most velvety-textured, decadently rich palates I have encountered, this fabulous wine has a finish that lasts more than a minute.

(10-2008) Essence of Syrah on the nose. Lively fresh and dry (as opposed to sweet). The tannins are already nicely resolved. High toned minerals – dry and refreshing – very clean and brisk.

The Maison GUIGAL vinifies and ages in its cellars, in Ampuis, the northern appellations of the Rhône Valley which are Côte-RôtieCondrieuHermitageSaint-Joseph and Crozes-Hermitage. The aging of the southern appellations Châteauneuf-du-PapeGigondas, Tavel and Côtes-du-Rhône is also assured in the Ampuis cellars.

The Hermitage 'Ex-Voto' is produced in the greatest vintages while the Saint-Joseph 'Lieu-Dit Saint-Joseph' in white and red and the famous Saint-Joseph red 'Vignes de l'Hospice' constitute references for this Appellation.

Among the jewels of the Domaine Guigal there are the inevitable Côte Rôtie "La Landonne", "La Turque" and "La Mouline". Known throughout the world, wine lovers of the Rhône are tearing themselves away. Some great vintages: 19781982198519881989199119951997199920032005
