Typical bouquet of cedar, tobacco, licorice, menthol, blackcurrant but not very intense. The palate is grandiose in its structure and its fullness, it is very powerful and colossal. Fortunately the tannins are melted. Satisfactory length. Honestly, the wine retains an austere side due to the characteristics of the vintage and deserves an additional cellar of 10-15 years ....Yes you read correctly...But he is already 36 and a half years old...And who guarantees that the cork will hold???? I have one left, I'm saving it for 2035 and then we will surely be treated to a phenomenal wine

Château Gloria
The Chateau Gloria was born after the Second World War the will of Henry Martin, then mayor of Saint-Julien, create a well-known property. At his death in 1991, his son Jean-Louis Triaud takes succession. The Chateau Gloria is a 44 ha vineyard in the Medoc, located in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle in Gironde. This is an AOC Saint-Julien. On a floor made of serious günziennes, the vineyard is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon 65%, 25% Merlot, Cabernet Franc 5% Petit Verdot and 5%. It extends over 44 ha. The vineyard is established on a sedimentary rock. Homogeneous surface with a sea of pebbles, the basement reveals a rather complex which makes the variety of wines from St.-julien. . The wines of Le Chateau Gloria have a dark and intense color, the 2006 vintage exudes powerful aromas of black fruits. The palate reveals notes of spice, cassis, and chocolate. The ending is pure and long. .
