The 2003 Fonsalette Côtes du Rhône appears to include all the components needed to be an outstanding wine. The Cinsault (about 40% of the final blend) was extraordinary in this vintage. I have never before tasted such powerful, rich, and aromatic Cinsault. Once it has been blended with the Grenache, the result should be an extremely fragrant, sexy, sensual Fonsalette with low acidity, high alcohol, and marvellous flavour definition as well as depth.
