Ripe and rich, but lovely balance, strict, plush but not oxidative like some of the earlier wines. A touch dry on the finish preventing a higher score, I may be stingy here but my measurements are how the tannins of top producers are made today.

Dugat-Py is a family estate. It has been established since the 17th century in Gevrey-Chambertin. Located in the Burgundy, the estate strives to preserve the production and traditons of Burgundy wines. Thirteen generations of winegrowers accumulating incomparable know-how and incessant work over more than 10 hectares. The particularity of Dugat-Py is its vines. Some of them classified as « Très Vieilles Vignes », 65 years old on average.

Among the many cuvées of this producer we find in Burgundy Grand Cru : Chambertin « Très Vieilles Vignes », Mazis Chambertin « Très Vieilles Vignes », Charmes Chambertin « Vieilles Vignes » …

The Dugat-Py estate also produces Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru in different climats (Lavaux St-Jacques, Petite Chapelle, Les Corbeaux …).
