Dark and evolved colour. Intense nose, with purer fruit than the 1995. Oaky base. Subtle ensemble. Smooth on the entry, perfumed in the middle, with a very homogeneous development, the wine finishes flavoursome, with a long, silky, perfumed finish and fine grain. Particularly pleasant aerial dimension.

Château informations
The name La Conseillante first appeared in the mid-18th Century. It was inherited from an influential person who ran the property almost 300 years ago: Catherine Conseillan.
On the Pomerol plateau with a clay-gravel soil with iron deposits in the subsoil, the wine comes from a grape variety that certainly values Merlot (70%), but Cabernet Franc, at 25%, gives the wines a particular freshness, complexity and richness.
La Conseillante with its purple capsule recalls the characteristic perfume of the growth. These elements, chosen in 1871 by the Nicolas brothers, remain elegantly modern at the dawn of the 21st Century. Since that year, the fifth generation of the Nicolas family has been managing the Château.
