(04-2005) Deep, slightly brownish crimson. Some distinctively warm, ripe flavours on the nose. Much less stringy than most 2004 St Emilions with real warmth and softness of tannins. Pretty and gentle – with the significant Merlot content presumably responsible for the unusually easy approachability of this second wine of Cheval Blanc.
