Tasted blind and not decanted. Beautiful dark red, with black reflections, slightly evolved on the fringe. Discreet nose, fruity and ripe, with a note of fig. The entry into the mouth is discreet. The body is average, the taste not sufficiently ripe. Firm finish.

Château Chasse Spleen

The Château Chasse Spleen is a french estate located in Moulis en Médoc. It is a crus bourgeois. Chasse-Spleen produces one of the most outstanding wines of the Medoc, and certainly the Moulis. Situated on four parcels of serious Quaternary 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot.

The best vintages of Château Chasse Spleen are the vintage wines of 1929, wines of 1943 and 1945, the vintage 1949 and 1953. The vintages 1982 and 1985 are exceptional and the wines of 1989, the vintage of 2000 and 2009 are excellent.
